By utilizing volunteers, Sheridan Health Center has provided care for over 1700 Sheridan County residents since 2005. This dedicated group of volunteers work as a team to provide medical care, perform clerical tasks, and work on special projects. Using cost-effective strategies, Sheridan Health Center helps people to get and stay well. Please consider volunteering your services today by calling 674-6995 and learn how you can get involved with this valuable community resource.

PROVIDERS NURSES

Physicians, Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practitioners provide primary care to eligible patients. Nurses (CNAs, LPNs and RNs) work with primary care providers and other team members.

PHARMACY ANCILLARY SERVICES

Pharmacists provide patient education on medication and consultation to the providers. Volunteer dietitians and respiratory therapists help to enhance patient education.

The volunteer medical team is covered for malpractice under the Federal Tort Claims Act for Free Clinics. All Medical volunteers must have a current Wyoming license.

CLERICAL BOARD MEMBERS

Non-medical volunteers are trained to greet patients, direct patient chart flow, enter patient data, and determine if an individual meets the income and residency requirements to receive service.

A volunteer board of directors with diverse expertise provides governance to this project.
